Austin: Music Capital of the World
Austin is most famous not for its unique and fantastic art, or its fun and spunky fashion but rather for its outstanding music. New artists, bands, solo artists, and groups come from all over to make their beginning in the Music Capital of the World. On any given day of any week you are likely to see groups of musicians singing, and making music in all of Austin's coolest hangouts. Several Austin restaurants host gigs which allow musicians to play for the entertainment.
Not only are there daily gigs for Austin musicians, but once a year musicians can participate in SXSW (South by South West) which is a live music festival. Artists can also participate in ACL (Austin City Limits) and ACL Live. These events are what makes Austin famous. People come from all over the world to hear these talented Austinites perform their hearts out. ACL is the most famous music event that happens in Austin, bringing thousands of people to Zilker Park from places as far away as Australia.
