Austin City Limits Festival
Austin City Limits Festival is a world famous event that takes place over 3 days at the beginning of October. People from all over the world come to hear the great music and have a great time. Flocks of people from all around such as across the United States, Australia, and Europe. It is a popular event that has been expanding and growing. Usually the ACL music festival is on a Friday, Saturday, and a Sunday, but this year it is going to be two sets of three days (a Friday, Saturday, and a Sunday then another Friday, Saturday, and a Sunday). The music festival this year, 2013 takes place on October 4-6 and October 11-13. The music festival gives much of the proceeds back to the community, to park renovation, and improvements through out the city. ACL is held at Austin's Zilker park, which they have in the past years helped expand and improve the park.
At ACL there are local bands that perform, national, and many international bands or groups. ACL is a really big event that attracts all kinds of music. There are local venders that provide a verity of food styles to choose from. Inside the gates to the park is also tents of local shops. With the food trailers and the local shops and boutiques there is lot to do in between acts and stages. There are many stages set up thought the park with different bands. H-E-B has a kids section every year in the park under a big tent. There is sand with lawn chairs set in it and big fans to cool people down it the Texas heat.
